**Job Description:**

This position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities using occupational therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard occupational therapy practices. It also involves consulting, educating, and training patients, families, and caregivers, and collaborating with care teams and stakeholders to deliver quality, patient-centered care.

**As an Inpatient Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities include:**

1. Providing Competent Services: Conduct evaluations and treatments per professional standards (AOTA), considering diagnosis, history, and physician referrals, and developing care plans with specific goals based on assessments.
2. Effective Communication: Engage effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers about needs and goals, ensuring smooth operations and optimal use of rehabilitation services.
3. Patient Care and Supervision: Manage all aspects of patient care and education, supervising assistants, aides, office staff, and students to ensure high-quality care.
4. Documentation and Billing: Maintain thorough, timely patient records as per regulations and policies; complete billing accurately and promptly.
5. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including safe equipment use, enhancing clinical outcomes, patient access, experience, and supporting the Intermountain Operating Model.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• Current Occupational Therapist license in applicable states.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• Basic computer skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Relevant skills and experience with the target patient population.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment and supplies.
• Frequent verbal communication with patients, providers, and visitors, including during emergencies.
• Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment and computer use.
• Ability to lift, transfer, bend, and carry supplies and equipment, including heavy items.
• Assist with patient mobility and navigate crowded, equipment-filled rooms.
• Stand for extended periods as needed.

The hourly rate ranges from $37.46 - $57.80, depending on experience.
