Job summary

RUSH Specialty Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a per diem role housed within Rush Specialty Hospital. The position requires current SLP licensure and BLS certification (or completion within 90 days).

The clinician will assess, plan, and implement therapy for patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues and multiple traumas. Preference is given to candidates with CCC from ASHA.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with speech-language disorders.
• Develop and implement therapy plans for identified conditions.
• Coordinate with physicians, families, and other therapists to ensure cohesive care.
• Educate patients and families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing.
• Document progress and adjust treatment plans as directed by the physician.
