Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients across the continuum of care. The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Speech-Language Pathology and an active Texas license; intern license accepted on hire and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology license or intern license accepted upon hire.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred upon hire; CPR/BLS” required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform speech therapy evaluations and design treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Discharge planning with organized documentation and resource assessment.
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and students to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and proactive problem solving in a dynamic clinical setting.
