Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Phoenix is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. The role involves evaluating patients, explaining treatments, and operating ventilatory equipment to support ventilation and oxygenation.

You will perform chest physiotherapy, monitor patient responses, and coordinate with physicians as part of comprehensive care. The ideal candidate holds BLS, current state licensure, and ACLS within 6 months of hire; NBRC credential or state

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient and recommends a treatment plan.
• Explains purpose and procedure of treatments, tests, and equipment to the patients, and provides necessary education upon discharging to home.
• Operates ventilatory equipment to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation and oxygenation.
• Performs chest physiotherapy and related airway clearance techniques.
• Performs chest x-ray review and 12-Lead EKG with basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Performs pulmonary function studies and assists with invasive procedures when applicable.
• Records treatments and patient responses, and communicates with physicians about therapy effectiveness.
