Job summary

Eastern Iowa Rehabilitation Hospital in Cedar Rapids seeks a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult inpatients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, and other complex conditions.

In this patient-centered, team-oriented environment, you will perform assessments, administer medications, manage wounds and IVs, and coordinate closely with therapists and physicians to help patients regain function and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Iowa.
• Experience in inpatient rehab or stroke care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess adult inpatients recovering from stroke, brain or spinal cord injuries and other complex conditions.
• Administer medications and manage wounds and IVs.
• Coordinate with therapists and physicians to support patient function and independence.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and expected outcomes.
• Document in the EHR and participate in quality initiatives and care planning.
• Support use of rehab technologies and interdisciplinary approaches.
