Job summary

Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Rehab Unit. The RN provides inpatient care for adult patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions requiring intensive therapy, with rotating shifts and per diem flexibility.

You will develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and IV therapy, monitor for complications, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Two+ years of rehab/ortho/med-surg in acute inpatient setting preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans with physicians and therapists.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and monitor for complications.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ADLs to promote independence.

Position Purpose

In the Inpatient Rehab Unit at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, the Registered Nuse (RN) provides inpatient care for adult patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions requiring intensive therapy.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions as prescribed as well as monitoring for complications, infections, or changes in condition, responding appropriately to emergencies.

• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote functional independence.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school

• Valid RN license in Connecticut

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• The ideal candidate will have two or more years of rehabilitation, orthopedic, or med-surg nursing in a acute inpatient setting.

• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
