Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit at Medical City North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, TX. This PRN/per diem role supports patient-centered care on the rehab floor and participates in nursing processes to improve outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold a Texas RN license, have rehab experience, and be able to obtain BLS certification with the 30-day window. CRRN is preferred to elevate expertise in rehab.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Current Texas RN license or compact state license required.
• Direct inpatient rehab experience preferred.
• BLS issued by AHA or Red Cross required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days.
• CRRN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the inpatient rehabilitation unit.
• Document all patient care using the Nursing Process.
• Promote safety and comply with National Patient Safety Goals.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on nursing process / outcomes for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. Promotes customer service initiatives along with the Hospital values and standards. Documents all patient care. Utilizes Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of patients. Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills and procedures. Promotes compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate’s degree required
• Current State of Texas RN license or compact state license required
• Direct inpatient rehab experience; one year or more preferred, involving extensive knowledge of rehab/criteria
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• CRRN is preferred
