Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Henrico Doctors' Hospital seeks a Patient Care Technician to support nurses in delivering hands-on care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You will help with vital signs, mobility and daily living activities, while contributing to care plans and patient comfort.

The ideal candidate has CNA certification or Nursing Fundamentals training, BLS certification, and previous acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or Fundamentals of Nursing course completed.
• BLS certification required or in progress.
• Previous acute patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, mobility, transfers and comfort for smooth care.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families and care team.
