Job summary

Reunion Rehabilitation Hospital Jacksonville is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The role focuses on adult patients 18 and older receiving rehabilitation services.

You will assist patients in achieving maximum functional performance, document treatment responses, and report outcomes to the supervising OT. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross is required; online certification is not acceptable.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience is desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in rehabilitation under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Record patients’ responses to treatment and report outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Support therapy sessions and help patients maximize functional performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety and adherence to protocols.
