Job summary

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient rehabilitation team. The role focuses on delivering individualized, evidence-based therapy to help patients regain independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (OT) Occupational Therapist qualification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients’ functional abilities and needs to develop individualized therapy plans with physicians and care team.
• Delivering evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough documentation of outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding and engagement during recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care and excellent patient experiences.
• Guiding therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission and values.
