Innovative Therapy Concepts is a Physical Therapist owned and operated Therapy management organization founded by Joe Sapp, PT in 2006. We began our partnership with Northside Gwinnett in 2013 to provide therapy services throughout the system. ITC is seeking an Occupational Therapist passionate about patient recovery in a teamwork environment. Northside Glancy is a newly renovated, 30-bed Acute Inpatient Rehab setting. Individual therapy is provided with a multidisciplinary team approach including Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy. The primary patient population is neuro-based, with secondary populations including post-trauma and post-intensive care diagnoses. Patients typically receive at least 3 hours of combined therapy daily, focusing on safe functional mobility and activities of daily living. Therapists attend weekly interdisciplinary conferences and collaborate daily with rehab nursing teams and physicians.

Responsibilities
- Assess and examine patients with various diagnoses according to OT scope of practice
- Provide treatment within OT scope
- Teach patients to use and care for orthotic, prosthetic devices, and assistive devices
- Administer and interpret standardized assessments/tests
- Fabricate splints
- Recommend adaptive equipment for activities of daily living
- Lead and coordinate group therapies
- Maintain gym area and equipment
- Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on OT interventions, safety, community resources, and outcomes
- Participate in patient care planning meetings
- Supervise treatment and documentation of occupational therapy assistants
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Contribute to profits and revenues through marketing and productivity
- Participate in budget development and cost-saving initiatives
- Serve on performance improvement teams
- Engage in community service activities
- Delegate tasks to COTAs and aides per state guidelines
- Ensure documentation complies with legal and reimbursement standards
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
- Follow hospital and departmental policies
- Maintain CPR certification
- Perform other duties as assigned
