Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking an Inpatient Rehabilitation LPN to support patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct care, monitor progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote independence.

You will administer medications, assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, document progress, and educate patients and families about recovery milestones.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Current LPN license in the State of Georgia or compact state licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• Previous acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or medical-surgical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and report changes promptly.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ADLs to support therapy goals and independence.
• Monitor vital signs and neurological status to detect changes and respond quickly.
• Document progress and functional ability to guide care planning and team coordination.
• Educate patients and families about recovery milestones, safety, and self-care techniques.
• Work closely with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver personalized, high-quality care.
