Job summary

Exalt Health Rehabilitation Hospital Sarasota, LLC is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Under the direction of an RN, you will provide nursing care, health teaching, and counseling to patients during shifts in a high-quality rehab setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient assessments, vital signs, med administration under RN supervision, ADLs support, patient education, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice vocational nursing in the state where currently practicing.
• Current BLS via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Current ACLS certification via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assisting registered nurses with patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration (under RN supervision), and basic care needs such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Rehabilitation Support: Working alongside therapists to assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and other rehabilitation activities as directed by the care plan.
• Patient Education: Providing basic patient education on self-care practices and promoting a positive and supportive environment.
• Documentation and Reporting: Accurately documenting patient care activities, observations, and responses to treatment under the direction of the RN.
• Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: Assisting with maintaining a clean and organized patient care area and ensuring patient safety protocols are followed.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of professional vocational nursing
