Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Exercise Specialist for the Carolinas Rehabilitation Charlotte Inpatient Rehabilitation program. The role focuses on developing and directing patient mobilization and exercise programs within an interdisciplinary team to restore mobility and quality of life.

The candidate will assess readiness, coordinate with nursing and therapy staff, and document treatment progress while maintaining patient safety and education. BLS HCP and ACSM certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health/Fitness required; master's preferred.
• ACSM-CEP certification preferred; eligible to test.
• BLS HCP certification from AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and performs patient mobilization and exercise programs.
• Assesses patient readiness for mobilization by reviewing medical records.
• Coordinates care with nursing and therapy services to ensure cohesive patient care.
