Job summary

Mt. Sinai Rehab Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a registered Dietitian to join the team on the Day shift. This full-time role focuses on evidence-based nutrition care across patient populations within a collaborative hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assessments, MNT planning and education, EMR documentation, and participating in rounds while mentoring nutrition interns. Licensing as an LDN and CDR registration required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in food and nutrition, dietetics, or related field as required by CDR or bachelor’s grandfathered before update.
• CDR registration and state licensure as LDN required; maintenance of licensure.
• 1 year of experience as a dietitian preferred; healthcare experience beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain clinical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Allergen Awareness and Serv Safe Management training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nutrition assessments per Nutrition Practice Guidelines.
• Develop and implement patient-specific nutrition care plans and goals.
• Assess need for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) instruction.
• Provide MNT instruction for modified diets when appropriate.
• Assist in EN/PN management per guidelines.
• Document assessments and care plans in EMR with standardized language.
• Consult with physicians and care team to clarify orders.
• Participate in rounds and care meetings; mentor nutrition interns.
