Hiring Now for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Nursing Unit Manager

SMH is looking for a dynamic Inpatient Rehab Clinical Nurse Manager to join our Magnet Team. The Clinical Manager II has 24/7 operational responsibility for a minimum of one very large or highly complex department, or a minimum of two (2) nursing departments, or a minimum of one (1) nursing department plus responsibility for ongoing hospital-wide program(s) that support global strategic goals. Includes accountability for the quality of patient care, the performance of the nursing staff, assisting in the development and management of the budget, and the orientation, education and development of the staff. Typically supervises a minimum of 75 FTEs.

Our 60-bed, hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation facility is a distinct part of the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System and provides comprehensive rehabilitative care. We are located in the Rehabilitation Pavilion directly connected to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, allowing access to valuable resources such as the laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy, plus specialty and emergency services. All services are available onsite which provides timely results in developing your individualized plan of care.

• The care team includes full-time, Board-certified physiatrists with office visits available for transition of care needs after discharge.
• We staff with low patient to nurse ratios, allowing more time with each patient.
• Patients can expect one-to-one therapy sessions for a minimum of three hours per day five days per week, or 15 hours per week.
• Sarasota Memorial Inpatient Rehab has a very high patient satisfaction, consistently at or above a mean score of 97 for "likelihood to recommend" our facility.
• Readmissions to the acute hospital are lower than the national benchmark.
• All of our rooms are private with a sleeper sofa and a spacious bathroom.
• Free valet parking is available at the Rehabilitation Pavilion entrance.

Required Qualifications

- Require a minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience with two (2) of the years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Require nursing specialty certification.
- Require nursing leadership certification within two (2) years of hire/promotion date.
