The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care; administers medications and treatments; coordinates with the interdisciplinary team; educates patients and families; promotes safety and quality improvement.

This role includes responsibilities at higher grades for leading staff, practice improvement, and broader clinical outcomes within a VA setting.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English (written and spoken).
• RN degree and state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers inpatient nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administers medications and treatments.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
• Educates patients and families on care plans.
