Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking an RN Level I to provide professional nursing care in an inpatient setting using the nursing process. You will apply clinical knowledge, exercise independent judgment, and collaborate with the care team to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state or via eNLC, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire; one year of RN experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where services will be provided or a multi-state license via eNLC.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient plan of care based on data collection and patient needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members & healthcare consumers.
• Adheres to ethical standards and patient rights.
