Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Clinical Nutritionist - Registered Dietitian for inpatient units on the Day shift. This full-time role supports evidence-based nutrition care within Cornell-affiliated inpatient services and collaborative care with the medical team.

Applicants must hold a US-accredited Bachelor's degree with ACEND supervised practice, be eligible for NYS certification, and obtain CDR registration within six months; a Master's and acute-care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree from a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent.
• ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics.
• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) within 6 months.
• Certification by the State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist NYS certification within 12 months.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or caregivers based on assessment in the inpatient setting.
• Develop nutrition treatment programs to ensure optimal care for a diverse patient population.
• Participate in patient care rounds, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and perform related duties.
