Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Clinical Dietitian/Nutritionist to join its inpatient units on the day shift. You will provide nutrition counseling and develop treatment plans for a diverse patient population, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree from a regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent
• Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics
• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) within 6 months
• Certification by the State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist NYS certification within 12 months
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred
• Master’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or caregivers based on assessment of individual needs in the inpatient setting
• Develop nutrition treatment programs to ensure optimal nutritional care for a diverse patient population
• Participate in patient care rounds and performance improvement programs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and perform other related duties as assigned
• Engage in direct patient care provision and education within inpatient units
