Role supports PHP/IOP and expansion across Southern California, with 8:00 AM–4:30 PM shifts and both full-time and per diem options.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in therapy-related field, 2+ years in acute behavioral health, and CPR/BLS/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational, therapeutic recreation, art, music, or drama therapy required.
• Minimum of two years of direct service experience in acute behavioral health inpatient setting.
• Ability to stay calm in high-stress or crisis situations.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Implement rehabilitation activity groups for patients.
• Conduct activity groups and therapy services including assessments and discharge planning.
• Maintain quality verbal reporting and written documentation of patient progress.
• Coordinate treatment with multidisciplinary staff.
• Ensure safety and order in therapy spaces.
• Provide feedback on department policies and procedures.
• Represent Recreation Therapy on committees and with families.
• Document admissions, discharges, and treatment plans within required timeframes.
• Attend multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
• Provide leisure counseling and discharge planning as needed.
• Complete data collection for performance improvement activities.
• Supervise RT interns and work designated holidays.
