Job summary

Qualifications

• Maintains patient privacy following HIPAA Privacy and Security policies.

• Follows safety and infection control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and adjust equipment for taking x-rays and position patients.
• Protect non-target areas with shielding devices; maintain collimation.
• Perform x-rays in hospital areas including surgery, emergency, and patient rooms.
• Perform fluoroscopy procedures as indicated (not in Urgent Care or physician offices).
• Provide x-ray support in the Operating Room during surgeries and procedures.
• Log patient technical factors and manage image labeling in RIS/PACS.
• Offer educational support for radiologic technology programs and related initiatives.
