Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength, mobility, confidence, and independence in a hospital setting. You will perform evaluations, develop plans, and deliver therapy across inpatient units.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the SC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required prior to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and abilities.
• Provide PT services across inpatient settings.
• Initiate evaluations and treatment at first appointment.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises and educate patients and families.
• Document evaluations and plans within 24 hours of visits.
• Collaborate with care team for optimal outcomes.
