Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist for its Inpatient Acute Care Unit in Hartford. This per diem/part-time role focuses on evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning to improve mobility and independence.

The PT will collaborate with physicians and staff, delivering individualized care and adapting plans as patient status evolves, while maintaining clear communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
• Current State of CT license.
• Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, directs, plans, and treats to help clients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with ongoing collaboration and communication with staff, patients, and families.
• Develops and carries out techniques and modalities for individualized treatment.
• Modifies treatment plans and goals based on client status and capabilities.
• Provides information regarding client status to patient, family, treatment team and other professionals.
