Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha seeks an Inpatient Physical Therapist for a casual/PRN position in the First Shift. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a diverse acute care environment.

This role offers opportunities for clinical instruction, continuing education, and department initiatives, with required weekend/holiday commitments and Nebraska licensure with CAPTE approval and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a physical therapy program accredited by CAPTE.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong team orientation.
• Familiarity with typical PT equipment and modalities.
• Currently licensed as a physical therapist in Nebraska or a compact state license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA endorsed).
• Rehabilitation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop/implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote safe mobility and functional independence.
• Support discharge planning and participate in clinical instruction and ongoing professional development.
