Job summary

Ally Psychiatry is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our inpatient team in Jacksonville, Florida. The role focuses on adult inpatient psychiatry, with potential coverage in PHP/IOP programs.

You will work within a hospital-based behavioral health setting, collaborating with psychiatrists, APPs, nurses and therapists to deliver evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
• Board certification as a PMHNP-BC or PA with psychiatric experience
• Active DEA registration or eligibility
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to complete credentialing, background checks, and hospital/insurance enrollment
• Strong clinical judgment and collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses and therapists
• Inpatient psychiatry or related experience preferred; new grads considered for select roles

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments
• Complete daily inpatient rounds
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric conditions
• Provide psychopharmacological treatment and medication management
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Manage admissions, ongoing care and discharge planning
• Collaborate with attending psychiatrist and multidisciplinary team
• Communicate with families and outpatient providers as appropriate
• Support PHP or IOP programming as needed
• Complete timely clinical documentation
• Promote safe, compassionate, recovery-focused care

Education

Master’s or doctoral degree in NP/PA program
