Job summary

LSU Health Sciences Center, Department of Psychiatry in New Orleans, seeks Adult Psychiatry faculty at Assistant/Associate/Professor (non-tenure, clinical track) to work in the New Orleans area, including inpatient service at the newly constructed inpatient psychiatry unit at New Orleans East Hospital.

Responsibilities include inpatient staffing, direct patient care, and occasional night/weekend tele-call consults for APPs; candidate should support Collaborative Agreement with APPs.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required.
• General Psychiatry as field of study.
• ABPN board certified or eligible; licensed to practice in Louisiana by start date.

Responsibilities

• Staff inpatient unit with direct patient care.
• Provide Collaborative Agreement support for APPs.
• Participate in nights and weekend tele call consults for APPs onsite.
