You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and develop individualized treatment plans for inpatients across a range of conditions.

The role emphasizes evidence-based care, collaboration with psychologists, nurses, and social workers, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Completion of a psychiatric residency in an ACGME accredited program.
• BC/BE in Psychiatry (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology).
• Valid state medical license to practice as MD or DO in Illinois.
• Valid Illinois Controlled Substance License.
• DEA or pending authorization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for mood, anxiety, psychotic, and substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes with a patient-centered approach.
• Administer and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring regulatory compliance.
