Job summary

MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) is seeking a psychiatrist to work in an innovative, flexible float pool model across inpatient settings. You will provide inpatient psychiatric care, direct the treatment team, and plan pharmacologic and therapeutic interventions within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

The role offers 30-40 weeks per year with compensation aligned to market and a comprehensive benefits package, including sign-on and relocation options.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, completion of internship and psychiatry residency and/or fellowship.
• Current Maine medical license or eligibility; ABPN board certified or eligible.
• Board certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.
• 3+ years' experience including residency/fellowship training.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Direct the treatment team and plan pharmacologic and therapeutic interventions.
• Support coverage across MaineHealth facilities as part of a flexible float pool.
