InGenesis seeks Inpatient Psychiatrists to deliver direct psychiatric care to offenders in inpatient facilities within the UTMB sector of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). The role involves examinations, supervision of mid-level practitioners, and participation in commitment proceedings, with on-site duties in a prison setting.

Applicants must hold Texas medical licensure, be eligible for Psychiatry board certification, and possess a valid DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current license to practice medicine by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
• Eligible for Board Certification in Psychiatry.
• Must hold a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct psychiatric care to inmates at inpatient facilities within the UTMB/TDCJ sector.
• Conduct psychiatric, physical, and neurological examinations.
• Provide supervision to mid-level practitioners as assigned.
• Participate in civil commitment proceedings when relevant.
• Handle emergency psychiatric calls and maintain timekeeping compliance.
