Job summary

Capital Health in New Jersey seeks an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our behavioral health team. The physician will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage medications in a collaborative care setting within a regional health system.

Open to LI duties, eligible for NJ license, with a broad range of behavioral health conditions managed and multidisciplinary collaboration. Competitive pay with comprehensive benefits and CME opportunities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric care for patients with a broad range of behavioral health conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
• Coordinate behavioral health treatment with primary care and specialty providers when appropriate.
• Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, and continuity-of-care initiatives.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and ongoing behavioral health needs.
• Support Capital Health’s commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral healthcare.
