Capital Health is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health team in Central New Jersey. This is a dynamic, full-time role within a collaborative health system offering opportunities for professional growth and excellence in patient care.

The position emphasizes psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team, with a strong focus on patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric care for patients with a broad range of behavioral health conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
• Coordinate behavioral health treatment with primary care and specialty providers when appropriate.
• Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, and continuity-of-care initiatives.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and ongoing behavioral health needs.
• Support Capital Health’s commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral healthcare.
