VHC Health in Arlington, VA seeks an extraordinary psychiatrist to deliver world-class, evidence-based care to adult inpatients. You will work within a collaborative, patient-centered medical group and contribute to clinical leadership initiatives.

The role emphasizes professional growth, clinical excellence, and a multidisciplinary team approach to support patient success and program development.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Completion of an accredited General Adult Psychiatry Residency is required.
• Board eligibility or board certification in Psychiatry is expected.
• Eligibility for Virginia medical licensure is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for adult inpatients.
• Conduct inpatient rounds, admissions, treatment-team meetings, and discharge summaries.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and care coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing, social work, case management, therapy, psychology, and APPs.
• Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation in Epic.
• Support behavioral health program development and service enhancement.
• Demonstrate leadership potential through mentorship and departmental initiatives.
