WakeMed Health & Hospitals seeks a compassionate Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist for our 28-bed adult inpatient unit in Raleigh. The role features a 7-on/7-off schedule, with a focus on patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration across nursing, social work, and other colleagues.

You will conduct initial evaluations, develop treatment plans, participate in discharge planning, and may supervise staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed medical physician required.
• Doctorate of Medicine (MD) required.
• Fellowship/Internship/Residency in related area required.

Responsabilités

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and daily rounds on patients.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with nurses, social workers, and other team members.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary case conferences.
• Provide supervision or consultation to other staff as needed.
• Offers opportunity to teach medical students.
