As an inpatient psychiatrist, you’ll serve as a key physician leader on Oaklawn’s acute inpatient psychiatric unit, working alongside experienced physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and program leaders. This role is focused on the psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, medication management, treatment planning, risk assessment, and discharge readiness of adults requiring 24-hour inpatient psychiatric care. You will help guide admission and continued-stay decisions, support safe transitions to lower levels of care, and contribute to a collaborative culture centered on clinical excellence, patient safety, and recovery.
