Job summary

Sage GroupHealthCare Staffing seeks a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for travel/contract work in Clive, IA. Start ASAP. 36 hours/week in an inpatient mental health unit; three shifts, every other weekend. Local and travel candidates welcome.

Full-time, travel, contract, and temporary roles offered. Pay: $1800 weekly gross, with housing/MEI stipends for eligible travelers. Required: IA RN license or Compact, BLS; ASN base, BSN preferred. Unit focuses on children through adults.

Qualifications

ASN or equivalent nursing degree required.
RN License for IA or Compact required.
BLS certification required.
BSN preferred.
2 years inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health experience required.
Experience with children, adolescents, and adults required.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
Work in assigned units including Children, Adolescent, and Adult Behavioral Health units.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
Provide nursing care within the standards of nursing practice according to state regulations and policies.
Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
Assess patient status and document pertinent information.
Notify physicians of significant changes in status.
