Qualifications
- Licensed RN in New Jersey required.
- BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum 6 months nursing experience or participation in HMH Nurse Residency program.
- 2+ years psychiatric/mental health nursing preferred.
- BSN in progress or willing to pursue within 3 years.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies and standards.
- Maintain ongoing communication with patients and care team about status and plans.
- Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation tools.
- Document assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations in the EHR.
- Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
- Coordinate safe patient discharges and transition of care.
