Job summary

State of Iowa's Cherokee Mental Health Institute (CMHI) seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient team. This full-time role involves delivering acute psychiatric care, directing care with LPNs and other staff, and contributing to treatment planning.

A background check is required for consideration. Starting pay depends on experience and education, with potential shift differentials of $0.90/hour for 2nd shift and $1.00/hour for 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Background check required for consideration.
• Starting pay is dependent upon experience and education.
• Directs services provided by LPNs, Resident Treatment Workers, and Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Carry out prescribed treatments and document care.
• Participate with the Treatment Team in planning and carrying out the Treatment Plan Interventions.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients in inpatient psychiatric care.
• Collaborate with staff to support individualized treatment plans.
