Job summary

Ocean View Psychiatric Health Facility is hiring a Registered Nurse for inpatient care with 12-hour shifts (AM/NOC). You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and coordinate multidisciplinary care under supervision of DON and Hospital Administrator.

Ideal candidates hold a CA RN license, BSN/ADN, and 2 years in behavioral health; bilingual proficiency preferred. LPS certification is required for this role, and the facility emphasizes patient-centered safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with ADN or BSN.
• Active and unrestricted RN license issued by California.
• 2 years of experience in behavioral health or related setting preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or other languages preferred.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnoses and psychiatric medications.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and HIPAA regulations.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and data entry.
• Strong teamwork and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and focused physical assessments.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure safety.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and document in EHR.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical or psychiatric emergencies and perform CPR.
• Maintain accurate patient records and monitor health status.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
