Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its inpatient psychiatry unit in Neptune City, NJ. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, communicate with the care team, and administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation tools.

The role requires an NJ RN license, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and 6 months of nursing experience with emphasis on psychiatric care.

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in New Jersey.
BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
Minimum 6 months nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency.
At least 2 years in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred.
BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care per evidence-based practices, policies, and standards.
Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team about status and plans.
Administer medications with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
Document patient assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations in real time.
Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
Discharge patients safely with appropriate care transitions.
