Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care.
• Identify risk levels and discharge planning, and initiate crisis intervention as needed.
• Apply psychiatric nursing interventions to progress patients toward wellness.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients about prescribed drugs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of patient symptoms and progress.
• Coordinate with staff and delegate duties while advocating for patient safety.
• Float among clinical services and support care across units.
