Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Abilene is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide patient-centered nursing care for adolescents, adults and seniors with anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care in alignment with Joint Commission and Oceans policies.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LVN license in the state of employment.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively under high stress and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to assigned patients and document findings.
• Administer medications and verify doses per physician orders.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans.
• Provide leadership as a preceptor to new staff and support continuous improvement.
