Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Pasadena is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing care for adults and seniors in a psychiatric setting. You will work under RN supervision, document thoroughly, administer medications safely, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient wellness.

Qualifications include an active LVN/LPN license, a high school diploma or GED, and 1 year inpatient experience preferred; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Active LVN/LPN license in the state of employment; compact licenses accepted.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care to assigned patients under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Documents findings in patient records and communicates assessment results with the care team.
• Administers medications safely and reviews orders per policy; supports ADLs and comfort.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and improve outcomes.
• Provides patient education and participates in precepting new staff.
