Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center seeks a Psychiatric Counselor to join the inpatient psychiatry team. You will provide assessment, screening, and treatment services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans for patients in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include delivering therapeutic interventions, completing documentation, and supporting ED staff with behavioral health issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related behavioral health discipline.
• 1–2 years' experience in delivering services to a psychiatric population.
• BLS certification; Master's degree preferred.
