Job summary

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia seeks a tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor on the Clinical Faculty track for an inpatient position at the UVA Encompass Health Joint Venture Rehabilitation Hospital.

Candidates will supervise residents, contribute to education and possibly research, and participate in night and weekend call on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required; board-certification or board-eligibility by the ABPMR.
• Commitment to a career in academic medicine with clinical practice plus resident education and/or research.
• Position is tenure-ineligible, Clinical Faculty track, and inpatient at UVA-EH.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary inpatient care for patients at UVA-EH across acute, rehabilitation, subacute, and chronic phases.
• Supervise and teach residents during rotations.
• Participate in night and weekend call coverage on a rotating basis.
