Job summary

Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT seeks an Inpatient Physical Therapist for a 40-hour-per-week temporary assignment. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement therapy plans, and document progress within an interdisciplinary team focused on comprehensive recovery.

The role requires CT licensure, a PT degree, CPR (preferred), and active involvement in patient and family education, plus supervision of staff and students. A dynamic care environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with minimum Baccalaureate, Masters, or Doctorate in PT.
• Current Connecticut licensure is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Preferred: CPR certification.
• Preferred: APTA membership.
• Preferred: MHS or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document a goal-oriented PT program.
• Supervise PT staff and students as directed.
• Communicate with staff, patients and families using education and documentation.
• Maintain timely documentation of evaluations, progress, and discharge plans.
• Contribute to discharge planning and community resource referrals.
