Job summary

Reid Health is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist to join our team. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans and supervise PTAs in an inpatient setting. The role emphasizes education, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians.

Day shift, 40 hours weekly, with weekend and holiday rotation as needed. Indiana licensure and BLS are required, with Ohio licensure if assigned to Ohio.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Indiana to practice physical therapy, with BLS certification.
• May supervise PTAs and provide supervision under supervision requirements.
• Cross-state licensure (OH) may be required for practice in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine rehabilitation potential and treatment needs.
• Develop and modify treatment plans with measurable goals and timelines.
• Re-evaluate patient progress and adjust plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families; involve caregivers in home programs.
• Document care and communicate with physicians and care teams.
• Provide supervision to PTAs and rehabilitation staff; manage schedules.
• Coordinate discharge planning and transitions to home or other care settings.
• Participate in QA&I activities and safety protocols.
