Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for Inpatient Rehab. The role involves evaluating patients and developing and adjusting treatment plans under physician direction, with a focus on functional recovery.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Certified BLS

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and establishes appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs.
• Provides ongoing evaluation of patient's status and goals, modifying treatment program for timely progression.
• Develops comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize patient outcomes and return to community activities.
• Coordinates treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services, as well as available community resources.
• Provides patient education including home programs for safe and effective discharge.
• Prepares for patient discharge including ordering necessary equipment and recommendations for therapeutic services.
• Evaluates patients in home, school, work, or community environments to facilitate return to community activities.
• Identifies and manages levels of care and delegates supervision of PTAs and staff.
