Job summary

Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Youngstown, an affiliate of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for inpatient rehabilitation. You will collaborate with a team to provide exceptional care and improve patient outcomes.

The role requires a degree in Physical Therapy, OH licensure, and a patient-centered approach. You will supervise assistants, perform assessments, and develop individualized plans of care to restore function.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Physical Therapy and OH license.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Must handle stress and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervises physical therapy assistants and aids in performing treatment.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills.
• Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
