Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks a Physical Therapist for the IRP Allied Health team at East Hospital – Tower (0397). This intermittent, first-shift role supports inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services and reports to the director of rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution.
  • License to practice physical therapy in the state of Ohio or eligibility to take the licensure examination.
  • Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy school clinical internship.
  • One year’s experience working in a medical setting preferred.
  • Background check required; drug screen or physical exam may be required post-offer.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and establish plans of care in collaboration with the patient and other team members.
  • Provide a wide variety of treatment techniques within the scope of practice.
  • Educate and support patients and families; facilitate continuing care planning.
  • Coordinate services with other therapists, rehab staff, physicians, nurses, and Patient Care Resource Managers.
